I was recently hired to work on a documentary project as a Gaffer and AC and this gave me a chance to meet the famous Titanic creator on the set and to see his fascinating production studio in Los Angeles.
The project I was working on was about Jackie Chan and a part of it involved filming interviews with big Hollywood names such as Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, Quintin Tarantino, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chris Tucker and even Lionel Richie, but I can’t lie that the most exciting of all, at least for me, was the one conducted with myself! You read that right, I was among those who were interviewed as the director also needed to hear from few random fans which apparently I happen to be one of them and according to Ming, my director colleague, I actually did a great job of discussing Jackie’s career!
But on a more serious note, one of our interviews took place at Lightstorm Entertainment in Manhattan Beach where between the huge sets of the upcoming Avatar movie we discussed Jackie Chan’s career with James Cameron. Here’s a photo of us working on set with the creator of Titanic and Terminator and I will keep you posted about the final product as soon as its out.
