The Birth of A Project Chronicles of Creative Concept Development
A Cause That Matters Needs Creative Ideas
A Nobel Cause
With the fast paced immigration rates of the Armenians in Iran, The 40th Pan-Armenian games in 2008 was a significant opportunity to not only mark a historic event, but to also portray (Some could argue pretend!) a stable and vibrant community, that has not given up thriving and tradition, while capitalizing on our success stories.
The 40th PanArmenian Games
Designing an all-encompassing Solution
My solution was to put our community's sports history into spotlight by capitalizing on our present assets and restoring our glorious history in order to bring positivety and hope to our shrinking community.
To do this, I proposed to feature all Armenian athletes who were members of the national teams in their respective fields in our campaign. In addition we also began to restore and resurface historic content such as photos and videos, brought together a creative group of photographers to capture the entire tournoment and finally we invited musical talents to a song contest with a theme revolving around sportsmanship.
Meet Vcho
Creative minds came together to create ONE lasting memory.
What animal best represents your community?
Born and raised in my mind, Vcho is the official Mascot of the 40th Pan Armenian Games. Representing The Armenian mouflon, an endangered species of wild sheep that lives in north western part of Iran, our friendly creation has many quintessential features of the Armenians of Iran, with "being on the verge of extinction" as the most tragic one, but we're not going to talk about that...Yet!
Meet
the crew
The project was an amazing collaboration between several talented creatives that I proud myself to call friends. Each and every one of these artists brought on the table a piece of their knowledge and skills, but more than everything I cherish their willingness to serve their community and the will to create something that has a positive impact. Something very rare to find, when the project is volunteer based.
