Project Outlines
Structure
A narrator recounts the life story of Leonid as we see historic photographs, old film vignettes, archive videos and VFX clips corresponding to the subject matter.
The story-line and voice-over follow a chronological order and avoid dramatization as much as possible, but at the same time dramatic impact is created through effective soundbites.
Main Ideas
The main purpose of the video is to invite people to Leonid's Jour Fixe, but it does so by at the same time paying homage to his work and life and becomes an introduction of the character for those who don't know him all that well.
Beside this original intent, the video also demonstrates a chapter of Armenian history in Iran by revealing little details of the events that took place during his life time.
Execution
It took me several weeks to finalize the writing as not everything on the paper matched our visual archive.
The production of the video went parallel with planning of the actual event and resulted in several last minute additions as many students began sending useful material.
