“The Voice Recorder” at Toronto Festival – Armen Sarvar

“The Voice Recorder” at Toronto Festival

The Voice Recorder made it to the final line up of the Pomegranate film festival in Toronto.  This will be the first premiere of my thesis film outside of the united states and in a way is considered the world premiere.

I won’t be able to go to Canada this time, but my sister Ani will be representing me on the day f the screening. Hopefully I will take part in this wonderful event in a few years with a feature representing an Armenian theme which is what this festival is largely interested at.

Established in 2006, The pomegranate film festival according to their official website stems from the Toronto Chapter of the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society. A group of young Armenian professionals, bound by a passion for film and culture. Now in it’s 9th year, the Pomegranate Film Festival is a unique community event celebrating Armenian inspired film. Like its fruity namesake, the pomegranate, this film festival is fresh, dynamic, and prolific! Rich with culture, it depicts topics relevant Armenian culture through the medium of films submitted from around the world. In doing so, it creates a platform for burgeoning Armenian talent and the community to intermingle.
